Chateau des Baux-de-Provence

History inspires me and often shows up in my artwork … these are pictures of ruins of the Medevial Castle Chateau des Baux-de-Provence – located in Le Baux-de-Provence, France. It was a castle built into a mountain. I was shocked by how old and yet how well preserved it still was. It’s been a long time since the Middle Ages and yet you can still see doorways, arches, full rooms, etc…… Inspired me to make some new paintings!
